ALCO Services
Privacy Policy
This page explains what personal information ALCO Services collects when you contact us online, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and how to ask us to delete it. California residents can also read how we handle opt-out preference signals and requests about their own information.
Last updated: September 4, 2026
This policy covers ALCO Services and this website. We are a commercial laundry equipment distributor in Fresno, CA. This site exists to introduce our equipment and services and to let you get in touch — there are no user accounts, no online ordering, and no payments taken on it.
1. Notice at collection
When you fill in a form on this site, we collect your name, email address, phone number, company name if you give one, and whatever you write in the message. We use it to answer you, to quote and schedule work, and to keep a record of the enquiry. We do not sell it, and the one narrow thing we do share — an advertising signal on our open house page, never the details you type — is set out in sections 6 and 7. We keep it for as long as it is commercially relevant, and you can ask us to remove it at any time. The rest of this page explains each of those in full.
2. What we collect
Information you give us directly, through the contact form or an event RSVP form:
- Your name, and your company name if you provide one
- Your email address and phone number
- What you write in your message, including the equipment you are asking about
- For event RSVPs, the number of people attending
Information collected automatically when a form is submitted: the IP address the submission came from, and which page or campaign it came through. We use this to attribute enquiries and to detect spam.
We do not collect payment card details, bank details, government identifiers, or any of the categories California law treats as sensitive personal information, through this website.
3. Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and answer questions about equipment, parts, or service
- To prepare quotes and schedule installation or service work
- To manage attendance at events we host
- To keep an internal record so our team can pick up where the last conversation left off
- To detect and block spam and abusive form submissions
We do not use what you submit here to build advertising profiles, and we do not feed the contents of your message, your name, your email address, or your phone number to advertising networks. Our open house page is the one place where an advertising network is told that a form was submitted, so we can tell which ads brought people to the event — it is never told who submitted it, or what they wrote. Section 6 explains that in full.
4. Phone calls and text messages
If you give us a phone number, you agree that ALCO Services may call or text you about the enquiry you submitted. Agreeing to this is not a condition of buying anything from us. If we text you, standard message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time — reply STOP to a text, tell us on a call, or email [email protected] and we will stop.
Your number goes to ALCO Services and the service providers we use to place calls and send messages. We do not pass it to other companies to market their own products.
5. Who we share it with
We share your information only with the companies that operate parts of our business on our behalf, and only so they can do that work:
- Our website and database hosting provider, which stores enquiries
- Our email delivery provider, which sends enquiry notifications to our staff
- Our own staff and, where relevant, the manufacturer whose equipment you asked about
These are service providers under California law: they may use your information only to provide that service to us, not for their own purposes. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
Some pages embed a Google Maps frame so you can see where we are. If a map loads, Google receives that request. We do not control what Google does with it, and Google's own privacy policy governs that.
6. Cookies and tracking
One page on this site sets advertising cookies. Every other page sets none.
The exception is our open house page. Because we advertise that event on Google, that page loads Google’s conversion tracking tag, which sets Google’s own cookies in your browser and tells Google when someone submits the RSVP form. That is how we find out which ads actually brought people to the open house. Google is told that a submission happened; it is not told your name, your email address, your phone number, or anything you typed. The tag also lets Google recognise your browser on other sites it serves ads on, which is why we treat it as sharing — see section 7.
On every other page of this site we run no analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, and no other tracking script, and we store nothing in your browser. The fonts this site uses are served from our own server rather than a font network, so loading a page does not tell anyone else that you visited. That open house page shows a notice telling you the tag is there, with a Decline button. Decline and we stop reporting anything to Google from that moment and do not load the tag again on later visits; your answer is remembered in your browser. Declining cannot remove a script your browser has already fetched, and any cookie Google has already set expires on Google’s own schedule. If your browser sends the opt-out signal described in section 8 we do not show the notice at all and the tag never loads, because you have already answered.
The one exception is the Google Maps panel on our contact and location pages. It only loads if you scroll down to it, and when it does, your browser requests the map from Google, which means Google receives that request and may set its own cookies inside that map frame. Everything Google does with it is governed by Google’s privacy policy, not ours. If you never scroll to the map, your browser never contacts Google.
7. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
ALCO Services does not sell your personal information, and has not done so in the preceding twelve months. We receive no money, and nothing else of value, for anyone’s information.
We do share information in one narrow way, and we would rather name it than let you find it yourself. The Google Ads conversion tag on our open house page, described in section 6, passes Google an identifier for your browser together with the fact that you submitted the RSVP form. California law calls that “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising, and so do we. It began on September 4, 2026; before that date there was none. It covers that one page, no others, and it never includes the details you type into the form.
You can opt out of it in either of two ways, and you do not have to tell us why:
- Turn on an opt-out preference signal in your browser, such as Global Privacy Control. We detect it and the tag never loads — see section 8.
- Email [email protected] and ask us to stop. We will confirm in writing.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
8. Opt-out preference signals
Some browsers and extensions send an opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, telling a site not to sell or share your information. We honour those signals, and on this site honouring one is not a formality: if your browser sends the signal, the Google Ads tag described in sections 6 and 7 is never loaded at all. Not loaded and then told to stay quiet — never fetched, so no Google cookie is set and no conversion is reported. Nothing else on the site changes, because nothing else on the site tracks you.
You do not need an account with us, and you do not need to tell us who you are, for this to work. If you send a signal and want confirmation that we received and processed it, email [email protected] and we will confirm.
9. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common standard for what a site must do in response, and this site does not currently respond to those signals differently. If you want the open house page’s advertising tag switched off, use an opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control instead — that one we do act on, as section 8 describes.
ALCO itself does not follow you around the web, and we hold no record of your browsing anywhere else. But we should be straight with you about the limit of that promise: the Google tag on our open house page is Google’s, and Google can recognise the same browser on other sites in its advertising network. What Google does with that is governed by Google’s privacy policy, not ours.
10. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as they are commercially relevant. The equipment we sell has a service life measured in decades, and an enquiry from years ago is often the context for a service call today.
When you ask us to delete your information, we remove the details that identify you — your name, company, email address, phone number, address, message content, and the IP address the enquiry came from — and keep only the de-identified record that an enquiry happened, so our totals and reporting stay accurate. We say this plainly because it is what actually happens: the identifying information is gone, and an anonymous shell of the record remains.
11. Your privacy rights
California residents can ask us to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you, where we got it, why we have it, and who we disclosed it to
- Delete the personal information we hold about you, as described in section 10
- Correct personal information that is wrong
- Opt out of any sale or sharing of your personal information — see section 7
- Limit our use of sensitive personal information, though we do not collect any through this site
We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights. We will not deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, or give you a lower level of service.
12. How to make a request
Email [email protected] or call (559) 233-2444. Tell us what you are asking for and give us enough detail to find your record — usually the email address or phone number you contacted us with.
We will verify the request is really from you before acting on it, by matching the details you give against what we hold, and we may follow up at the contact details already on the record. You can use an authorised agent; we will ask for written proof that you authorised them, and may still ask you to confirm it directly.
13. Children
This is a business-to-business site and it is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 through this website. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will remove it.
14. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold. No website or database can be guaranteed completely secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
15. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date at the top. We will summarise material changes at the top of the page so you can see what changed without re-reading the whole document.
